Abstract

The target compound 2-amino-5-methyll-1 ,3,4-thiadiazole was synthesized and the crystal structure was studied through X-ray diffraction, the crystal belongs to monoclinic, with space group P2(1)/n, crystal data a = 0. 862 87(17)nm,6 = 0. 653 99(13)nm,c = 1. 034 1(2)nm,α = 90°,β = 110. 51(3)°, γ = 90°,V = 1.084 5(4)nm3,Z = 2,DC = 1.400 kg/m-3,μ =0.460 mm-1 ,F(000) =240. There exist hydrogen bonds forming a two dimensional net work which make the crystal more stable.
