Abstract
This paper designed a rectangular section volute and a circular section volute respectively.And a comparative analysis on the influences of rectangular section volute and circular section volute on turbine performance under all operating conditions has been done by numerical simulation.The results of the simulation show that the efficiency of the turbine with circular section volute is higher than that of the turbine with rectangular section volute,and the mechanism of the internal flow loss and the difference is disclosed by analyzing the flow field.This paper provides certain theoretical references for further development of turbocharger and turbochargers matching activity.
