On Deng Xiao-ping's Contribution to China's International Strategy Theory

Abstract

On the basic of Mao Ze-dong's international strategy, Deng Xiao-ping adjusted our country's international strategy theory in order to comply with the change of international situation. Deng's contribution can be described as follows: two issues of peace and development become the dominant theme in the world; we should establish a new international political and economic order; Deng put forward proposals of one country, two systems and shelving the dispute and conducting joint development; under Deng's leadership, our country carried out the open door policy and the independent foreign policy of peace.
