Analysis of the Rice Farmers′ Willingness to Pay(WTP) for Paid Services and Its Determinants

Based on the data from the field study,the paper analyzes the determining factors of farmers′ WTP with the Probit model.The results indicate that the farmers′ WTP for paid technical services in agriculture is related to the farms′ characteristics,such as the head′s education,the proportion of non-agricultural labor force,farmers′ assessment on the services by government and the financial source of production.At last,strengthening basic education in rural areas,improving agricultural technology extension system and rural credit services and other related policy recommendations are put forward.
