Abstract
Objective:To study the MRI features of hepatic hydatid cyst,to evaluate MRI in its diagnosis. Methods:MRI features in 23 patients with surgically-proved hepatic hydatid disease were retrospectively analyzed, and compared with pathologic findings. Results:All twenty-two but one cases were correctly diagnosed.Preoperative diagnostic accuracy of MRI was 95.65%(22/23).Conclusion:MRI is of high value for the diagnosis of hepatic hydatid cyst.It should be regarded as an effective supplement to CT and sonography.
