Abstract

Objective To discuss curative effect and security comparison of ultrasonic emulsification and small incision non-phacoemulsification to treat cataract. Methods 90 cases(117 eyes)of patients with cataract were divided into experimental group and control group in accordance with different operation methods. The patients in experimental group were given ultrasonic emulsification operation, while the patients in control group were given small incision non-phacoemulsification operation.Operational curative effect and intraoperative and postoperative complication of patients in two groups were compared. Results The number of patients in experimental group, whose naked vision were more than 0.5 after one day,7 days and one months upon the operation was much more than that in control group(χ2= 4.24,3.92,5.69,P0.05). The corneal astigmatism of patients in two groups after 7 days ‘ operation was highter than that before the operation(P0.05). The intraoperative and postoperative complication occurrence rates of patients in experimental group were much lower than those in control group(χ2=4.89,P0.05). Conclusion Ultrasonic emulsification has reliable curative effect on cataract, which can make better vision recovery of patients after the operation, with little intraoperative and postoperative complication, and is a safe and effective operation.
