Abstract
Ethyl, propyl and butyl benzoate were synthesized by esterification. Spectrophotometric method is used study on the antibacterial activity of benzoic acid, sodium benzoate and benzoate. The experiment results of antimicrobial activity indicate that benzoate has good inhibiting activity for hybrid fungus. Its antimicrobial activity is better than benzoic acid. Benzoate can be used in a wide pH range.
