Abstract
Based on the information of history of worldwide the tuna fisheries,the composition of main tuna species,the analysis of the total tuna production and main tuna species production in the world during1964~1999,and the status of fishing in the various fishing zones and main tuna fisheries countries and the status of tuna resources exploitation in the Pacific,Atlantic and India Ocean,the result can be obtained that the total tuna production has been increasing stably,but the production change was different in various species,fishing zones and countries(regions ),and that ,among the main tuna species,the exploitation and utilization of resources have been carried on to the remarkablhy different extent.
