Management on the Non-commercial Forests of Pinus tabulaeformis and Platycladus orientalis in Beijing——From an Block Mosaic Mixed Forest at Haidian Qiwang Tomb

A forest stand of 120~130 a block mosaic mixed forest composing of Pinus tabulaeformis,Platycladus orientalis forests and other conifer and broadleaf trees was investigated.The stand had features of multi-storied,uneven-aged and mixed characteristics and is a idea management model.The management on the Pinus tabulaeformis and Platycladus orientalis non-commercial forests in the future should refer this model on the basis of the forest site achievements and the forest compartment or subcompartment management to promote the harmonized development on ecoeconomy,at the same time to maintain the bio-landscaps diversity and proceed classification management in light of the specific local conditions.
