Empirical Study about the Effects of Rural Residents' Life on Economic Growth

Based on relevant data from 1983 to 2010 and comparison method,general consumption and consumption per capita,the effects of urban and rural residents' life on GDP were studied.Results suggested that no matter from the angle of general consumption or per capita consumption,effects of rural residents' consumption on economic development passed that of urban residents.In the end,we proposed to resolve urban and rural double structure,unifying urban and rural development,establishing long-term mechanism,intensifying consumption capacity,improving social security system,stabilizing rural consumption expectation and further improving rural consumption environment.
