Outside anatomical plate in the treatment of adult cubitus varus deformity

Objective To access the curative effect of the osteotomy on the supracondylar part of humerus and the Lat eral anatomical plate with the supracondylar fracture of humerus(SFH) used forlateral cubitus varus.Methods The clinical data of 37 adult with the lateral cubitus varus and the Supracondylar fracture of the humerus(SFH) were got,the effects of this operation was observed and investigated.Results According to the standard of clinical effect of SuShangqing classification,32 cases were excellent,good in 5 cases.The period of the clinical union of bone was be tween 12 to 18 weeks after operation(average was 14 weeks).Conclusion Outside anatomical plate in the treatment of adult cubitus varus deformity has many advantages,such as,internal fixation sturdy,the outside the curved anatomical plate with humerus under paragraph similar anatomical,the steel curved distal humerus paste,good fracture fixation,conducive to the elbow early exercise,elbow functional recovery,and so on.Therefore,it has a great clinical value.
