Abstract
Effects of applying silicon fertilizer combined with zinc fertilizer on the growth and grain yield of rice were studied. Results showed that rice growth was significantly promoted due to application of silicon fertilizer(60 kg / hm2) combined with zinc fertilizer(3 kg / hm2). Compared with the control, number of productive spike in rice increased by 8.6% and percentage of vacant shell in rice decreased by 7.1% in fertilization treatment. The application of silicon fertilizer combined with zinc fertilizer the significantly increased grain yield of rice. Grain yield of rice increased by 10.8% in fertilization treatment compared with control. Rice rate of increment was the highest in aquod soil with 13.16%, the second was 10.39% in purple soil, and the third was 9.01% in yellow-brown soil. Grain yield of rice was significantly increased in three types of soil due to application of silicon and zinc fertilizer. Soil p H value increased by 0.57 in fertilization treatment compared with the control. The application of silicon fertilizer combined with zinc fertilizer in rice effectively prevented soil acidification.
