Abstract
Dibutylmaleate was synthesized from maleic anhydride and n-Butanol using sulfamic acid as catalyst. The factors influencing the synthesis were discussed and the oplimal conditions were found as follows:molar ratio of maleic anhydride to n-Butanol was 1:2.5,amount of catalyst was 0.6 g/0.1 mol maleic anhydride,water-carrying agent benzene was 8mL,the reaction time was 2.0 h.The results show that the sulfamic acid is a good catalyst for synthesizing dibutylmaleate and its yield could reach 99.04%.
