Abstract
The seam deposit features of No.1262(1 { DK) coal mining face were analyzed and the 3D geological model of the coal mining face was established. With the rock mechanics experiment results of the roof above the seam as the parameters, the FLAC3D software was applied to numerical simulation on the rock movement and displacement above seam occurred by the coal mining operation. The paper analyzed the displacement and stress distribution law of the strata above seam during the coal mining process and had a discussion on the failure mode and deformation features of the roof above seam of the coal mining face.
