Abstract

The community structure of soil macrofauna in Saihanba National Forest Park was studied from March to May in 2008.The results showed that a total of 1436 individuals of soil macrofauna were collected,which belonged to 3 phylums,8 classes and 22 orders(groups).Coleoptera,Stylommatophora,Microdrile oligochaetes,Collembola and Hymenoptera were the dominant orders.Megadrile oligochaetes,Geophilomorpha,Prosobranchia,Lithobiomorpha,Diptera,Homoptera and Araneida were the frequent orders.The change of soil macrofauna communities was significant in horizontal space.There was significant differences in the number of groups between different vegetation zones(P0.05).Both the number of groups and the number of individuals were on the decrease from forest zone to steppe zone.The change trend was forest zoneforest-meadowmeadow-steppesteppe zone.The number of individuals in forest zone was significantly greater than it in steppe zone.
