Abstract
To explore optimal forestation tree species for converting farmland to forestation,experiments of selection of forestation tree species for converting farmland to forestation of Yellow,green,white mortar paddy fields,were conducted by using regression analysis.Results showed that the suitable tree species of converting farmland to forestation suitable to upper 3 kinds of soil were 18 species of Toona sinensis,Michelia maudiae,Eucalyptus dunnii,Alniqhtllm fortunei,Pinus massoniana and others,and its survival ratio was above 86%.Selection of converting farmland to forestation should be accorded by site condition,beneficial condition,planting purpose to select the best forestation species.That could bring the best ecological and social benefit into play.
