Abstract
Changes in the morphology of the coastal zone were monitored in June and September 2004 in the northern area of the Yellow River delta. Through collecting and comparing water-depth data of 1985 and 1999, we got the result that this area was in the condition of erosion from 1985, after 1999, part of the area seemed to be in slight accretion, and the center of the erosion moved southeastwards and towards the shore. The total evolution trend is that this area will keep eroded, but the intensity will decline gradually into balance of accretion and erosion.
