Abstract

Objective:To explore the influence of prolonged pregnancy on fetal distress, neonatal asphyxia, and caesarean ratio.Methods:B-type ultrasonic inspections and medical treatment were given to 152 cases of prolonged pregnancy women and 200 cases of normal pregnancy women in the same time in the hospital, then situation of fetuses and caesarean operations were analysed. Results:There are 34 cases(22.4%) of fetal distress,24 cases(15.8%) of neonatal asphyxia in the group of 152 cases with prolonged pregnancy, and the differences were significance in statistics compared to the control group(P0.05).There are 96 cases(63.2%) of caesarean in the prolonged pregnancy group, the difference was significance in statistics compared to the control group(P0.01).Conclusion:Prolonged pregnancy patients were prone to catch fetal distress and neonatal asphyxia, the rate of caesarean in prolonged pregnancy was obviously higher than that in normal term pregnancy.
