Abstract
Scavenging effects of flavonoids from leaves of Gingko biloba on superoxide and hydroxyl free radicals and hydrogen peroxide were analyzed by adding Escherichia coli extracts in reaction systems to simulate partially the cellular environment. The results indicated that the scavenging effects of flavonoids on 2 free radicals and hydrogen peroxide were significant, but the interactive between flavonoids and lactone components during the scavenging process was complicated, and there were little or no effects of biopolymers from Escherichia coli extracts on scavenging the free radicals and hydrogen peroxide.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
