Abstract
As a necessary tool used for pipeline in-line inspection,caliper pig plays an important role in solving the problem of potential danger of pipeline.Owing to the problem of bad pass ability,the mileage accumulation error and error detection,in this paper,the ability and character are respectively studied when caliper pig pass through curving pipeline.Through analyzing the process of caliper pig pass through the curve pipeline,the maximal length of the caliper skeleton was obtained.Besides,the angle changing law of detection arm during the caliper passed through the curve pipeline was also concluded.On the basis of it,in this paper,a new identification algorithm which was used to identify the curving pipeline was proposed and the judgment algorithm effectively avoided the phenomenon of mileage accumulation errors and detection errors.The study in this paper has some guiding significance for the internal pipeline inspection.
