Abstract
The wide use of molecular markers has played a very important role in rice breeding research.In this paper,the situations of application of molecular markers involving rice genetic map construction,genetic germplasm reservation and polymorphism analysis,gene tagging and clone and molecular marker assisted selection were introduced and advantages of molecular marker on rice breeding were discussed.
