Abstract

For analyzing the passenger benefit of integrated operation of urban transit systems, the optimization of headway and fare of rail transit is researched.Using the analytic optimization approach(AOA),both the practical passenger demand and the cost income of system are discussed.Based on the analyzed result,an optimization model of which the objective function aiming at maximizing social benefit is built to determine the headway and fare. This model is a non-linear constraint program, and a feasible direction search algorithm is applied to solve it.A case is studied to verify feasibility and stability of the optimization model,at the same time, the sensibilities of the effects of changes of rail transit line headway and fare on the objective function value are analyzed.
