Abstract
The technology of magnetic roasting and separation for a high-phosphorus oolitic hematite ore with an iron grade of 46. 31%,phosphorus content of 1. 25% in Hubei was studied, which is mainly red limonite with high content of harmful impurities phosphorus, silicon, aluminum,it is difficult to attain a effective utilization. The test results show that an iron concentrate with an iron grade of 57. 17%,recovery of 82. 74% and phosphorus content of 1. 12% can be obtained under the conditions of grinding fineness 75% passing 0. 074 mm,coal powder content11%,roast temperature 800 ℃,roast time 30 min. The rough iron concentrate was treated by reverse flotation to enrich iron and reduce phosphorus,Through the separation process,an iron concentrate with an iron grade of 60. 53%,recovery of 70. 22% and phosphorus content of 0. 32% can be obtained.
