Fieldwork and Writing Culture in Overseas Ethnography

Based on personal fieldwork experience,the paper intends to analyze and rethink the fieldwork process in other cultures and the expression of ethnography writing from a methodological perspective.It is concluded that ethnography in the post-colonial era is encountering with role dilemma and crisis of expression,which manifest itself in the fieldworkers' reflection on their own roles and the writing model of ethnography.The argument in this article is that the approach of individual-centered ethnography should be advocated and encouraged;moreover,we should also juxtapose investigators and informants whether in field-sites or context of ethnography writing so as to break through the stereotypes affiliated with traditional ethnography.
