On Acupuncture Science and Its Research Thoughts and Methods

This paper presents some research thoughts and methods of acupuncture science in the 21st century from the connotation of acupuncture and its relationship with life science on the basis of the current situation of acupuncture at home and abroad.It is thought that acupuncture science is a subject integrating theory with practice;that acupuncture science and acupuncture therapy are closely relative but obviously different research fields;the connotation of acupuncture modernization and the relationship among theory,technique and product should be correctly understood to developacupuncture product;that acupuncture research should be based upon life science and performed by implementing Research Guide to Acupuncture Clinic as a result to improve the clinical research.BIO X mode has been raised to carry out acupuncture research with other subjects,eventually to promote the development of acupuncture academy.
