Abstract
Effect of different cooling processes after forging on microstructure and mechanical properties of HN2154 microalloyed steel was studied, and a CCT curve of HN2154 steel was measured. The results show that the strength of HN2154 steel forgings increases firstly and then decreases after a maximum with increasing of cooling speed, which is mainly concerned with precipitation of VN or V(C,N) particle.According to this study, there is a best cooling process after forging in order to obtain the best mechanical properties of HN2154 steel forgings.
