Abstract
The effects of heat treatment process and nitriding on the hardness of H13 steel were studied. The results show that the hardness of H13 steel increase with the increase of quenching temperature, and decrease with the increase of tempering temperature. After quenched at 1100 ℃ and tempered at 540 ℃, the hardness of H13 steel is 53~57 HRC. After nitrided, the hardness of H13 changes smoothly from the surface to the center.
