Abstract

[Objective] The study was to investigate the technique of K fertilizer for high yield in cabbage.[Method] With the cabbage variety Chungan 8398 as tested material,5 treatments of N fertilizer with 2 levels(225,300 kg/hm2) and K fertilizer with 3 levels(0,225 and 338 kg/hm2) were designed. The plant height, number of leaf, degree of outspread, weight per ball, leaf weight, root weight, biomass yield per plant and net vegetable rate were measured in harvest stage.[Result] Applying K fertilizer on the base of N and P fertilizers could significantly increase the growth of cabbage in spring. When K fertilizer was applied below 338 kg/hm2,the plant height, weight per ball, root weight, biomass yield per plant and net vegetable rate were increased with the increment of K fertilizer dosage. The average yield in treatment applied K fertilizer was increased by 33.8% in 1999 and by 27.7% in 2001.The treatment of applying K fertilizer could increase 2 190-3 090 yuan/hm2 in average and make the output-input ratio of 3.85-5.19∶1.[Conclusion] Applying K fertilizer could greatly increase the cabbage yield and economic benefit.
