Abstract
ObjectiveTo extand the scope of clinical application of vascularized fibular graft for repairing bone defect. MethodsThe vascularized segmental fibular graft was used to repair the bone defect due to bone tumor resection. The folded vascularized fibular or composite tissue flaps were used to treat the bone defect of radius and ulna. The vascularized or pedicle fibular graft for the treatment of grade comminuted fracture of tibia played the role of both internal fixation and accelerating bone healing. ResultsThe repaired bone defects all had excellent bone healing with satisfactory functional recovery. ConclusionThe new surgical treatments enlarged the scope of clinical application of vascularized fibular grafts and indicated the potential of a broad aspects of clinical application of fibular transplantation.
