Abstract

Xinwen Geopark,located in Sichuan province,possesses many geological sights with national and world significance such as giant doline,the largest rock sea in China,and longest touring cavern in China,and was approved to be a world geopark by UNESCO on 11th February 2005;hence,its tourism life cycle enters into a key development stage from preparation.This paper analyzes the present development situation in this geopark,summarizes the existing problems,combines the tourism resources and challenges,and presents some corresponding measures to develop Xinwen geopark at product development and market expansion.
