Abstract
In order to broaden maize germplasm base, maintain their excellent characteristics and lay the foundation for amplification, improvement and innovation of maize germplasm. The author sketched the forming process of Tuxpeno Reid C0 and Suwan-Lancaster C0 by separately transferring tropical maize Tuxpeno and Suwan germplasm into maize Reid and Lancaster germplasm which were wildly applied in China, conducted half-sib recurrent selection to form Morui 1 and sulan 1 populations, and then transferring other materials to form Morui 2 and Sulan 2 populations.Meanwhile, the characteristics and application prospects of Morui 2 and Sulan 2 populations were reviewed.
