Abstract

The construction of the Central Business District is the reflection of the economic level of a city The article summarizes the three phrases of the development of Central Business District: the pre-modernistic Central Business District, the modernistic Central Business District and the post-modernistic Central Business District, then puts forward that the New Pearl River city zone should develop the post-modernistic Central Business District and have effect in perfect harmony with other traditional Central Business District In the end, the article put some advices of the construction of the Guangzhou Central Business District in the 21th century according of the conditions of Guangzhou city and the experiments of the construction of the Central Business District of other cities
