Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese and western medicine on intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy(ICP).Methods 76 patients with ICP were randomly divided into two groups:observatory group(n=40) and control group(n=36).In the observatory group traditional Chinese medicines, salvia miltiorrhiza and western medicines of ursodeoxycholic acid were together used.In the control group ursodeoxycholic acid and energy mixture were together used.Result In the observatory group, the patients' clinical symptoms relieved and total bile acids got decreased remarkably. Moreover, the newborn asphyxia and fetal distress and premature delivery rate were lower than in the control group. Conclusion Traditional Chinese and western medicine may be an effective and safe method for ICP.
