Abstract
Objective To investigate the walue of transcatheter arterial embolization in the treatment of traumatic hepatic bleeding. Methods 15 cases with traumatic hepotic bleeding were underwent hepatic arterial angiography and the bleeding arterial branch were embolized with gelatin sponge or steel coil. Results The bleeding hepotic arterial branch were completely embolized and the blieeding were successfully controlled without severe complication in all cases. Conclusion transcatheter arterial embolization is a safe and microinvasive approach for traumatic hepatic bleeding. To prevent the acute renal failure, the dosage of contrast medium must be reduced as possible as can.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
