Abstract
A two-dimensional numerical wave flume is developed based on Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics method.Solitary and irregular waves are modeled.Comparisons of modeling results with analytical solutions and experimental results show sauisfactory agreement. The present numerical wave flume can also exhibit the decadent characteristics with wave propagations, agreeing well with results of the laboratory flume.
