Abstract
Objective:To analyze the correlation between methylation of fragile histidine triad(FHIT) gene promoter and the occurrence of cervical squamous cell carcinoma among Uigur women. Methods:Methylation specific PCR(MSP) was used for methylation detection of cervical squamous cell carcinoma tissue of 45 Uigur women and cervical tissue of 34 normal Uigur women. Results:Among 34 Uigur women with normal cervical tissue, two women with methylation of FHIT gene promoter were found, the rate of methylation was 5.88%;among 45 Uigur women with cervical squamous cell carcinoma,15 Uigur women with methylation of FHIT gene promoter were found, the rate of methylation was 33.33%.Conclusion:There is correlation between methylation of FHIT gene promoter and the occurrence of cervical caner among Uigur women.
