Abstract
Haloxylon ammodendronisan important plantin northwest arid lands. Interrelationbetween the processof photosynthetic physiological ecology of Haloxylon ammodendronand xeric environmentwere studied in Xinjiang Fukang. The following results were obtained: Haloxylon ammodendronhad the abilityof adaptability to xeric environment, The diurnal course of photosynthetic rate and transpirationrate generally showed the pattern of double peak and had photosynthetic depression, which was possibly due to the closureof stoma.These provided scientific basic for drought resistant afforestation of Haloxylon ammodendron.
