Abstract
The in Western Zhou Dynasty is a combination of the archery and the ritual culture of Western Zhou Dynasty.The author draws the conclusion that the in Western Zhou Dynasty not only has the military function,but also the educational function.As the rite and the amusement connect tightly,the developes into an elegant recreational activity at the end of Western Zhou Dynasty,whose rules and procedure are the epitome of China's early athletic sports.
