Abstract
Based on the monthly average temperature and precipitation data from Wusu meteorological station during 1953- 2012,characteristics of trend, period and abrupt change in annual average temperature, precipitation were analyzed by using the Mann-Kendall and Morlet wavelet transform methods. The results showed that temperature presented an increasing trend over the last 60 years. The annual average temperature tendency rate is 0. 35 ℃ /10a,annual precipitation tendency rate is 7. 65 mm /10a. The significant warming mutation of temperature occurred in1988,but precipitation did not; The temperature and precipitation of four seasons also showed an increasing trend. Winter temperature have the most significant increasing trend with the rate of 0. 58 ℃ /10a,which is higher than summer temperature. For precipitation,Autumn is the season with the most significant change, and the linear trend reach to 2. 39 mm /10a. The relationship between annual average temperature and annual mean precipitation showed no significant correlations. Moderate correlation was observed between spring-summer precipitation and spring-summer average temperature, which have the significance level of 0. 01. However, low correlation between autumn-winter precipitation and autumn-winter average temperature were observed in the Wusu City. For the annual average temperature, there existed periodic oscillation at 10a,18 and 24years. Among them,24a is the main cycle for the study period. There were also 6- 8a、20a timescale oscillation for mean annual precipitation,6- 8 is main cycle at a small scale for the entire time,20a is the main oscillation cycle since the 1980s. This study indicated that climate of Wusu was becoming warmer and wetter.
