Abstract
Basic parameters and performance requirements are briefed for the electric drive system of localized metro vehicle in Beijing. Also expounded are the traction/braking characteristics, power circuit as well as the design ideas and technical characteristics of the control system. Comparison is made between the localized metro vehicle and the vehicle by Hitachi for No. 13 metro line in Beijing. The localized vehicle and its electric drive system has passed the field type test and running inspection and is under trial operation in No. 13 metro line, in good condition.
