A New Tentative Idea on the Classification System of Pteridophyta

Abstract

In this paper,the history of reserch on classification system of Pteridophyta established by QIN Ren-Chang in 1978 was briefly reviewed and a new tentative classification scheme of Pteridophyta was suggested that the Division Pteridophyta is classified into 7 subdivision,i.e.Subdivision Psilophytina,Subdivision Licophytina,Subdivision Sphenophytina,Subdivision Filicophytina,Subdivision Isoephytina,Subdivision Selaginellophytina and Subdivision Marsileophytina,and the arguments for it was also presented.
