Abstract
The traveling speed of over-taken trains is infuenced when various speed trains running on the same passenger special line. Using the probability method, this paper analyses the condition, probability and number of the dissimilar over-taking modes. The quantity relation among them is got through building a mathematics model. This article computes the effect on traveling speeds of over-taken trains and validates the conclusion in an example on the Wuhan-Guangzhou passenger special line.
