Discussion on VRML Virtual Laboratory Teaching System

With the development of internet,virtual laboratory has become an important constituent of distance education.The technology of VRML has many advantages,such as abundant represent forms, stronger alternating ability,and low requirement to the net speed.All the above make it became one of the important technologies of virtual laboratory exploitation.However,as an education form,virtual laboratory contains both technical layer and teaching design of virtual environment.From the angle of instructional design,this paper makes comparison and analysis for the virtual laboratory which based on VRML.Besides, it discusses the advantages and deficiencies of VRML which is used in virtual environment construction.
