Abstract
According to national strategic objective Broadband China, wireless broadband is an effective way for scattered settlements covering where cable broadband is hard to reach. In this article, performance of WLAN coverage and GSM-Hi coverage is discussed though theoretical analyses and field validation. Advice for rural wireless broadband deployment is provided based on the evaluation and comparison of these two solutions from technique, operation and economic benefit.
