Abstract

According to the problem of the embedded web server’s limited resources and processing capability,a thin embedded web server based on AJAX and CGI is proposed.In the system,the client-side validation and processing,as well as the access server without refreshing are implemented with improved AJAX.The CGI program is designed to process the URL request from the client and the HTTP request from the XMLHttpRequest component.The thin embedded web server designed can save server overhead and improve response speed.It is also a low cost web server method,which is suitable to the restrained embedded system in resources.
