Abstract
How to raise the rooting percentage of the regenerated shoots is the key factor for rapid propagation of mulberry trees. In the experiment reported in this paper, regenerated mulberry shoots were cultured under various combinations of basic media, hormone concentration, substrate, concentration of inositol and light. The results showed that the combination of 1/2MS + IBA1 or 1/4MS + IBA1 as the basic medium + an inositol concentration of 0.15-0.3% + a light intensity of 2,000 lux + a light period of 12 h. + 20℃ gave the highest rooting percentage (98%). When the acclimated rooted shoots were transplanted, 96% of them survived.
