Abstract

The technical progress in iron ore processing has reviewed from the year of 2000 to 2004.Some key technologies are introduced in reverse flotation of iron ore,high-efficient collectors, magnetic separation equipment and further separation equipment for fine-grain ores,fine-sieving technology,as well as flotation column etc and remarkable progress obtained after implementing the strategy of improving iron content while decreasing impurities. It comprehensively describes the progress in some new mineral-processing technologies with high-efficiency and energy-saving advantages, specially for iron ores being complicated in the structure and difficult to be processed, due to finely disseminated magnetic hematite being intergrown in the silicate gangues containing iron,as well as siderite, limonite and oolitic ore etc.The progress in the development of crusher at home and abroad and the application of microbiological approaches to the processing of iron ore are all presented in this paper.
