Abstract
Based on the analyses of vertical stresses acting on the top of subgrade and distributing in subgrade, a dynamic stress model is developed. By a series of triaxial dynamic tests, the characteristics of residual strain and pore - water pressure of pavement subgrade under vehicle load are proposed. Then a theoretical method used to forecast residual deformation of saturated clay subgrade under vehicle load is established in this paper. The method has successfully been applied in practical engineering.
