Abstract
Objective:To investigate superior mensenteric artery(SMA)with multi-slice computerized tomographic angiography(MSCTA) and to analyze its imaging anatomic morphology.Methods:120 patients underwent upper abdominal CT with double-phase scan.All data were reconstructed with VRT and MIP techniques to depict the three-dimensional anatomy of SMA.Results:The caliber,angulations,and the distance from celiac artery were(60.53°±27.46°),(0.87±0.17),(0.54±0.19) cm respectively.The ostium of SMA at the level of T12~L1 disc,L1 body,and L1~2 intervertebral disc were(6.6%,90% and 3.3%) respectively.Three types of anatomic variations were found in 6 cases in this group.Conclusion:MSCTA can objectively show the anatomic features of SMA and offer the useful information for clinical treatment.
