Abstract
This paper discusses the essential method of using GPS pseudorange data to assess the precision of broadcast ephemeris.At the same time,it also concludes by analyzing and calculating: it can obviously improve the precision of GPS pseudorange data by using GPS carrier phase to smooth pseudorange.In this paper,it uses the data observed on July 19,2004 to assess the precision of broadcast ephemeris which is provided by IGS.Based on the pseudorange residual analysis,it is found that the accuracy of broadcast ephemeris' precision is 3 m or so.
